Overall, I am very happy with the outcomes of this
project and my journey throughout it. I feel like I have learned a lot about
hair history as I was required to do a lot of research and turn it into my own
design. I very much enjoyed the practical sessions because they have gave me a
lot of skills that I did not have before, including time management which I had
a problem with at the start.
I had two
partners instead of just one, which has made the whole process quite tricky for
me because I had to arrange a specific date and time for one of my partners to
do my design on me, however it has improved my organisational skills and in the
end I only got to work with one of them as Toby did not turn up to his
assessment.
I do feel like
my communication with Toby was not great as he was very hard to get hold of and
he was not involved in the whole process as well as was not very keen on
practising my design. This I feel has made the whole project a lot harder as I
did not feel like I was able to communicate my design well enough. Working with
Emma was very enjoyable as she was very involved and while practising she
always said what needed improving and what was good. I feel like my make up
assessment went very smooth and I was very prepared for it.
